wildepages.com for newbie web builders

Complex editing using a commercial editor

Whilst I do not recommend full editor suites, for the lack of coding experience you gain, there are some extremely good products about that can save time and effort. The main reason is for the number and range of pre configured templates they include. The link from here will take you around a 'spoof' under-construction site, called Jezter.com (owned by Jezter Ltd. and written by Jezter - who happens to be me!).

The tool used to make this site is Visicom Media's ACE html 5 Pro which comes with a vast number of templates. This site is a series of frame-like pages, using css files for various bits and pre configured tables.
This site would have taken several hours to put together just the basic elements, if made from scratch. It actually took about 45 minutes - however, I do know what the files are meant to do. and how they interact. It also helps to be able to read some French, as that is the language of the original author (presumably French Canadian), and the notes within the preformatted text are written in that language. Not knowing either html or css rules would have been difficult enough, without trying to translate the author notes too!!

Enjoy your quick trip, hover over all graphics, and see you later Jezter.com is this way.
You can return to the contents page from the spoof site or just close your browser to return here, as it opens in a new page.

Further on in this section you will get a view of what Allaire (now Macromedia owned) HomeSite 5 can do, you will also get a look at the effects that can be produced using AnFx (from StepAhead Software), a quite remarkable java editor for producing full graphics enabled sites - make sure you have Java and Javascript enabled or you will miss the show!
